Are you accepting Non-solicited works right now?
Yes. As long as it meets the criteria we are looking for.

What is the main purpose and vision of this company?
We always strive to glorify God first. The main target we carry is two-fold:
1. Establish. It is our passion to establish the works of authors, thus building a foundation in their lives.
2. The unseen will become seen. The main mission for this publishing company is to put those who have been hidden and often broken for a season back on the map of life again. We love to see those who are hidden now, revealed later.

What is a Co-Publisher?
A co-publisher agreement is more like a co-ownership in that there are shared obligations on both the author and publisher. Co-publishers are typically more personalized when it comes to completed design of the book and marketing strategy. 5 FOLD MEDIA DOES NOT HAVE ANY OUTSIDE INVESTORS. The investment comes from working on each project on a time-frame and not on a time-clock (like many self-publishers do). The investment also comes by many creative added touches on projects that allow a more personal feel for the book and that reveal the true heart of the author. This all takes additional time that is often not included in our prices. It is a gift from us to the authors. Co-publishers are a step up from Self-publishing and a step down from Traditional presses. Self publishers publish just about anything. Traditional publishers publish very little compared to what is given to them. Co-publishers are between the both of them.

Does the Publisher give free books out for potential authors to review?
No. You can purchase our first release at www.amazon.com  search: "Daddy, if you only knew"

Can I sell books as pre-sales before the books are made?
Yes. You cannot use pre-sold book money in any way for the upfront cost of the production of the book. The two are totally separate categories and cannot be crossed. We encourage pre-sales, as long as they do not get mixed in the manufacturing book cost.

Are there contract renewal fees if I want to keep going after selling all the contracted books?
No. The only reason there will be additional fees to renew is if the author chooses to change something in the book, design, layout, or contract then some cost will occur.

How long does it take to review my application and manuscript?
We will typically take up to two or more weeks to review the application and manuscript. If we contact you at this time, it is more than likely that we have taken interest in your work.  Best way to get us is via email.

Who owns the book, the Publisher or the Author?
At the end of the contract, the author owns the book, which is clearly spelled out in the contract. We copyright the book in the author’s name.

Manuscript submission and getting started

What are your manuscript submission guidelines?
Click here for a PDF explaining our guidelines.

Will you accept a hardcopy mailed manuscript?
We will if we ask for it. We will only receive them after the application process is complete and we strongly prefer it to be emailed. If we accept the application in hard copy/mailed the author will have to still send the manuscript to us for editing in an emailed version or there will be a large fee for typing it in that is not included into the contract offer

Will you return a hardcopy mailed manuscript back to the author if you decide not to use it?
No. If we did this, we would be taking out a loan just to cover all the shipping cost. Best way is to always email it WHEN we ask you for it. If you must send a hard copy mailed to us, please don’t send the only original copy because you may never see it again.

How do I get started for 5 Fold Media to consider my manuscript for publication?

How long does it take to produce a book through your press?
Printing is easy. It is the process of crafting a quality book and cover design. One cannot rush art and publishing is both an art and a calling. For this reason, we do not rush. We normally give four months once we receive the signed contract and 1st payment until your completed book is delivered to your door.  We work on a basis of timeframes and deadlines We will not release any books until all payments are made in full. Normally we can produce a book in 4-5 months.

Marketing & Distribution

Does 5 Fold Media attend book fairs?
Yes. We will attempt to attend at least one nationally marketed book fair per year. The cost and date will play a big role in this.

Can you get my book into bookstores?
Yes. Our distribution is set up to make our released books available to many different venues. We cannot guarantee that your book will be placed in bookstores, we will make it available for them to consider.

Can you distribute and market my book and ministry?
Yes, however, the sky is the limit with this. The more aggressive and expandable your market ideas are the more the cost will be. This is reality. We attempt to specialize and customize each package to meet the author’s needs to the best of our ability. Understand that marketing is different for every book project and is therefore oftentimes experiential. We are contracted with the largest Christian distribution in the US and in the UK. We also have select marketing strategies in Canada and Australia.

What is the main target for marketing?
We like to directly target the Spirit-led, modern Apostolic and Prophetic circles. We also target Christians in general. For each project, we will try to market to the type of audience that the book is mainly targeting.

Does 5 Fold Media utilize social networks in marketing? Absolutely yes! Our company has already hired a part-time social networker to promote both the publisher and the authors. The publisher has a strong belief that networks and relationships are vital to the Body of Christ in every way. (Back to Top)
